Gloria was so excited to see the coffee cake bake and try it. They liked it!! Nancy liked that it was a fluffy cake and not heavy. The girls loved it! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out because the brown sugar is not packable here. It’s grainy like white sugar is in the States. It turned out like it normally does.

After breakfast, I started playing the piano and then Helena came in and Nancy wanted her to play. She played some chords, then I gave her a piece of music to sight read. She did it and then started singing it. It was a lot of fun working with her.

We went to Berlin to eat Chinese for lunch/dinner. We met up with the antique dealer and his wife, and his son and daughter-in-law. I ordered chicken and cashew with vegetables and ate the entire plate. I was full all night! I was really surprised when the girls started telling everyone that I made a really good coffee cake. I was pleased, but surprised they would bring it up. They also wanted me to count to 10 in Cantonese. It was funny.
