I had a very productive morning! I worked on my vocabulary lists for a about an hour while listening to Sovereign Grace Music, then got caught up on journaling and started blogging.
Mark said I would go with him to Berlin. Look at the following link to find out more information about “Green Week”. http://www1.messe-berlin.de/vip8_1/website/Internet/Internet/www.gruenewoche/englisch/About_IGW_Berlin/Description/index.html In a nutshell, it is the largest international display of horticulture, agriculture, and food. It encompasses about 25 buildings in downtown Berlin. We walked around for close to four hours looking at the various plants, machinery, and tasting various foods. It reminded me a little bit of the ride “It’s a small world” at Disney because there were so many countries represented there! Mark said most of the workers there were actually from the countries they represented, but they could all speak German. Compared to the weekend crowds, there weren’t many people there, but there were thousands in the various buildings today. It was very similar to the Dane County Fair with the different kinds of animals and animal shows, except on a much larger scale.
For dinner, Gloria and Helena wanted to make pancakes. Gloria wanted to stir the batter and ended up spinning the bowl so the batter started spilling onto the counter. My reaction was to say “Oh my….!!!!” Her response was “goodness?” She was so cute….priceless! I say “oh my goodness” all the time that for me to stop halfway made her confused. J
