Wednesday, January 5

This morning Gloria wasn’t feeling well, so she ended up staying home from school. I was going to go for a walk this morning, but got talking with Mark and Nancy while I ate a banana with peanut butter. I talked with Gloria for a little bit, talking some German while I relayed instructions from Nancy to Gloria and vice versa. I was pleased with what German I remembered and what I understood. Nancy has begun to speak more German with me so I can learn to understand it better. I’m very thankful for that!

A local missionary called today (I was very surprised to have Nancy find me and say the phone was for me!). I’M GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY!! I am so excited! I don’t care if it is just their family and me. Someone to talk Scripture with, sing a little bit, and fellowship with would be perfect!

On the way home from the doctor's office, Nancy dropped Gloria and I off at the edge of town and we took about an hour long walk.  We walked out and around the back of the town and then back and to the house. Gloria got tired, so the past little part of the way, I carried her on my back. It was a little awkward because we were both in our winter gear, but it still worked.

I played the piano (what I could remember) for a while. I was wishing I had brought my books with me!

I’ve decided it's time to start another extended study, so I've started an in-depth study on Catholicism. It's slow going since I'm not familiar with some of the vocabulary. I'm excited though.
