Saturday, February 5

I had such a productive morning! I got caught up on all my journals and listened to some great Christian music!

We ate “breakfast” together around 1:30. At one point I walked behind Mark with a mug of hot green tea. I guess he didn’t see me and he backed up, right into my cup, spilling it all down my shirt. It was hilarious! Mark blamed it on me being a ghost because I move quietly.

I got to talk to dad this afternoon for almost an hour. I was able to talk with him about my spiritual struggles and realizations as I read Scripture to convict me of my sin. It was so wonderful to talk to him about Spiritual things!!!

Mark's stepdad asked how long I’ve been here. At first I said three months. When he heard that he made a comment about me being here for that long and still not knowing German very well. At first that kind of hurt my feelings and made me feel guilty for not trying harder to learn the language. This morning I had found an excellent free website that teaches German grammar. I think once I understand that and learn more words I’ll be able to form more sentences and understand better. So after talking with him for a few minutes, I went upstairs and took some more notes. I’ve decided that, starting Monday, I will get ready for the day with the girls, take my computer to the dining room and study German for two hours each morning. I am determined to learn this language!
