This morning Gloria had my water heated for me again when I got downstairs. I could get used to that! J
For devotions this morning I continued listening to John Pipers series Psalms: Thinking and Feeling with God, part 4. Today’s lesson was on Psalm 103 where David blesses the Lord. It was a great reminder of God’s covenant with us and how we “fear the Lord.” Very encouraging!
I spent quite a while polishing silver in the house: silverware, candle holders, etc. It was fun to watch the nasty discoloration disappear! J I’m so easily amused! It was hard work though . . . polishing really works your arm and back muscles.
Mark and Nancy left for Berlin, but Nancy left instructions with me on what to do for dinner: go grocery shopping and get whatever you want! J While Helena was at her voice lesson, Gloria and I went to the store and bought the fixings for hamburgers and a salad. As we were checking out, the cashier asked something I didn’t understand so I looked to Gloria and she answered. When I looked at the cashier again, she was giving me the weirdest look as if she had never seen someone who didn’t understand her. As we were leaving Gloria said she thought the cashier thought I was deaf. It was so funny the way she said it. Being deaf works too. J
When we got back home, the girls went to their little church “class” while I made dinner. After eating, the girls quickly did their homework and then we played several games while listening to Disney music.
As the girls watched the German form of American Idol, I read more of Jurassic Park. After my shower, I looked at pictures of Titus’ funeral. It was very surreal to see his casket and know that he is in it as the men carried it.
